Happy 2022, everyone! I meant to share this post last month, but between snow days + germs it just didn't happen. I know you understand. ;-)

I wanted to share a few exciting updates to my happy little business this year, but a little backstory first:

Last fall was tough. Real tough. I had several unexpected personal and family things going on (all is well now!) in the midst of my busiest photography season ever, and I felt like I was operating at 50%...no, maybe 43%. I wasn't able to devote the time needed for my family, friends, myself, and YOU, and I got completely. burnt. out.

I was still shooting and trying my darndest to bring my same energy and excitement to each session, but if you know me, you could probably tell I was struggling. I wanted so badly to have those creative juices flowing, but I honestly felt like I was going through the motions (and I hated that feeling). By the end of last year, I knew I needed to set some new boundaries in my business to be the best for my family and for my clients.

So, here's what to expect this year. Keep in mind, I am posting this in February - giving everyone plennnnnty of time to plan ahead for those fall sessions!

  • I raised my prices for the first time in six years. I thought long and hard about this, and being available to work with a variety of budgets will forever be a priority in my business. I believe I'm still very much in that sweet spot!

  • I will be offering 20-minute spring mini sessions in Columbia on April 16th (more info coming soon!).

  • In the fall, I will have three weeks of minis! One in September, one in October, one in November, with dates open in both Nashville and Columbia. Here's the big thing about those: these will be the majority of what I shoot in the fall. I simply can't offer as much as I did last year and still give you my best work!

  • I know weekends are coveted time slots (and I love seeing you bright and early on Saturday mornings!) but it's also some of the sweetest time I have to give my family. So, this year, I will be offering one weekend each month to travel to Nashville/Franklin/really anywhere north of Spring Hill (*newborn sessions are an exception!*). On the remaining weekends, I will ask that you come to Columbia for our shoot - and I can't wait to show you all of the amazing locations we have here!

  • I will not be offering shoots after Sunday, December 4th - gotta have time to get in the Christmas spirit!

Thank you, as always, for being my cheerleaders, and for understanding these changes I need to make. I'm doing this because I want to be present with my family and with you - not pulled in different directions when I'm with one or the other.

I am so grateful for your support, y'all! Can't wait to see your family for our 2022 session!

You can book a session with me here!
